Major William Stephen Holloway was born November 19, 1952 in Raleigh, NC to the late Edward and Mattie Mae Holloway. He departed this life on Monday April 29, 2013 at the VA Nursing Home in Fayetteville, NC.
William was known to everyone as Stevie.
Stevie was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Oris, and his mother and father. Stevie was raised in the Method Community and attended Wake County Public Schools. He graduated from Fayetteville State University and did further studies at Liberty University. Stevie was a member of Piney Grove Holiness Church in Red Springs, NC where his pastor was Reverend Samuel Henderson.
Stevie had many musical talents. He formed a band with his friends and sister in the Method Community. He was a former member of the Gospel Jubilee Singers, playing bass and lead guitar.

Holloway (Marion) of Youngsville, NC and Reverend Edward Holloway, Jr. (Linda) of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Rena El Holloway of Greensboro, NC, Mary H. Montague (Spencer) of Raleigh, NC; two step sisters, Pastor Veola Johnson (James) of Creedmoor, NC and Mary Fleming (Jeff) of Wyoming DE; one uncle, George Holloway of Wendell, NC; one aunt , Mrs. Mary Owens of Cincinnati, OH, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
